LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - The Lansing School District is launching a new online school which will be operated directly by the district called Capital Area K-12 Online. They are now accepting student enrollment applications for fall 2021.

“We found during our COVID instruction experience that many students and their families actually liked the flexibility online learning can offer,” said superintendent Sam Sinicropi.

The teachers will be Lansing School District teachers and will be directly accessible to students.

“We are taking a very innovative approach to online learning,” said Board of Education president Gabrielle Lawrence.

Capital Area K-12 Online is open to any student in the mid-Michigan region.

Families can enroll students online now for fall at www.LansingSchools.net/K12Online.
