Gizzardfest returns after extended hiatus
POTTERSVILLE Mich. (WILX) - After a four-year hiatus Gizzard Fest is back! The Potterville festival will run this Friday and Saturday.
As in the old days it will include live music, a carnival, a car show and of course chicken gizzards. Financial issues and a lack of volunteers forced organizers to cancel the event in 2016, but new partnerships between the city and Potterville businesses helped revive it in 2021.
Vendor booths will be open at 9:00 a.m. Friday on Main Street in Pottersville. A fun run, called “Another Clucking 5K,” is also being hosted by Gizzard Fest organizers starting at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
