LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - The championship game in the 59th annual Diamond Classic High School baseball tournament is set for 7pm Monday at Lansing’s Municipal Park. Admission is $6 per person. Defending champ Grand Ledge hosts DeWitt. Grand Ledge won the 2019 tournament and none was played a year ago because of Covid issues. The teams have met three times. After splitting a regular season doubleheader Grand Ledge rallied from an 8-2 deficit Saturday to win 11-8 in a district state tournament semi-final game. Grand Ledge scored nine runs in the bottom of the 7th inning then went on to beat East Lansing 5-1 in the district title game. DeWitt’s season ends with the Classic while Grand Ledge plays at Howell Wednesday in regional play.
