LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - For the weekend of June 12-13, all fishing license fees are waived.
You can also visit Michigan’s state parks for free. A Recreation Passport will not be required for entry into state parks and to access boating sites during the Free Fishing Weekend.
Residents and out-of-state visitors can enjoy fishing for all species of fish on both inland and Great Lakes’ waters.
Michigan’s fishing regulations will still be in place, which you can find HERE.
This is all part of the “Three Free” weekend, where residents and nonresidents can grab a fishing pole, ride the off-road trails and visit state parks and boating access sites - all free of charge.
The next free fishing weekend will be February 19 and 20, 2022.
