Helping k9s with their canines
The experts at Joey’s Pet Outfitters share what can be done for our four-legged friends teeth
WILLIAMSTON, Mich. (WILX) -Most dogs love to chew on bones, eat lots of food and enjoy a treat every now and then, but if we aren’t helping them with the cleanup afterwards, some damage can be done to their teeth.
“Over 70% of dogs, before the age of two, have severe to extreme periodontal disease, which is very unfortunate,” says Joey’s Pet Outfitters owner, Mark Marquardt.
What items are going to be best for them to ensure our four-legged friends have good, healthy teeth?
“So one of the best things to feed your dog or cat is a raw diet,” says Marquardt,” It is what our dogs and cats are supposed to eat.”
