The American Red Cross is opening emergency warming stations and shelters in Jackson and other places to help people affected by Sunday's storms.

Those seeking shelter are encouraged to bring the following items if possible: prescription medications; appropriate bedding, blankets, and pillows; personal hygiene items; a change of clothes; and any necessary items for infants or the elderly.
