“Law & Order: Criminal Intent,” which returns for its sixth season in September, features the additions of Detective Megan Wheeler (Julianne Nicholson) and Captain Danny Ross (Eric Bogosian).

Detective Mike Logan (Chris Noth) and his new partner, Detective Wheeler (Nicholson), make up the Major Case Squad alongside long-time partners Detectives Robert Goren (Vincent D’Onofrio) and Alexandra Eames (Kathryn Erbe). The two Major Case Squad detective teams will split the caseloads week to week.

“Law & Order: Criminal Intent,” takes viewers into the minds of its criminals while following the psychological approaches the Major Case Squad uses to solve the crimes. In true Sherlock Holmes-fashion, D’Onofrio (“Men in Black”) stars as Detective Goren, an exceptionally bright homicide investigator with well-honed instincts that match up favorably with his criminal quarry. Likewise, his partner, Detective Eames (Erbe, “Oz”), brings an independence and stylish edge to her work that meshes well with Goren.

Detective Logan, (Golden-Globe nominated Noth, “The Perfect Man,” “Sex and the City”) who was exiled to Staten Island after punching a city Councilman ten years ago on “Law & Order” (1990-1995), teams with partner Detective Wheeler (Nicholson), who asks the question “why, ” balancing out Logan’s “who, what, when and where” approach.

Bogosian plays Captain Ross who was just rewarded with the Major Case Squad after heading a successful three-year Joint Task Force on International Money Laundering that has just been dissolved. He brings Wheeler with him to Major Case – he is her mentor. Captain Ross is divorced and a New York history buff.

“Law & Order: Criminal Intent” is a Wolf Films production in association with NBC Universal Television Studio and is Dick Wolf’s third installment of the “Law and Order” brand, the second-longest running drama series in the history of television. Wolf, Warren Leight and Peter Jankowski are executive producers.

  • Posted By: BuzzSierra it isn't that the Michigan system is flawed, it's the judges that are elected or appointed who interpret the laws and then dole the punishment or lack thereof. The problem that I have is that even though the father and adopted mother may or may not have set the fire they surely should be tried for first-degree murder. I hope that the coroner was able to determine of the victim was sexually or physically abused. Just wish justice would be geared to help the injured instead of the perp.
  • Posted By: sierraThis justice system is flawed. My cousins baby gets murdered this summer and the guy only faces 12 to 22 yrs and now this i am disgusted with michigan I think it should be an eye for an eye forget this 15 yrs. These people have taken a whole lifetime away!
  • Posted By: JodyYou have to wonder who our court system is there to help? Its obvious she was chained to her bed, they were abusing her. They get 15 yrs?? People are sick! They will get 15 lessened to 6 and will end up doing 2 and having a yr probation. People wake up and start yelling, its the only way we will be heard. I say tie them to a bed and set them on fire..
  • Posted By: Mary AnneOnly up to 15 years in prison for what was probably 16 years of sheer torture for this child??? Are the courts as sick as the defendents are?? This is disgusting. Murder by torture is as despicable as pre-meditated murder!
  • Posted By: ANONYMOUSThese parents should be hung. Have the same thing done to them that they did to their daughter. There are some serious sick people in this world and I have no sympathy for them at all!!!
