A tearful fifteen-year-old girl took the stand against Doctor Kassem Hallak on Tuesday. The alleged victim is one of 11 women who claim Hallak sexually assaulted them. She spoke of visits to Hallak's office when she was only eight years old.
"I was there because I had stomach pains, and I was laying down on the table, and my shirt was up a little bit. I don't remember what I was wearing, but he was pushing around my stomach and went a little lower," said the alleged victim.
She says that Dr. Hallak groped her during that visit and three others, times when her mother stepped out of the examination room. The young girl decided to come forward when she learned that other women had also had incidents with Dr. Hallak.
"At the times it happened I figured I could just brush it off and forget about it, and then I just started hearing more and more about it and couldn't take holding it in anymore," she said.
One of the other alleged victims also testified, saying Hallak spanked and massaged her after administering a shot.
"He was getting very upset. He wanted me to drop my pants down to my knees. But at first I didn't know if it was a joke, what was going on, because he was laughing and then he would get angry."
Hallak's attorney highlighted the fact that both women were treated by Hallak again after the initial alleged incidents. Dr. Hallak is expected to take the stand and give his side of the story, before the trial concludes.
