In the mood for some chili today?
You'll find plenty of it at BWL's annual chili cook-off tonight in downtown Lansing.
Gallons of the stuff will be served up by local vendors. The competition is fierce. Whoever wins who get bragging rights for a whole year of having the best chili.
Last year, over 5,000 people attended the event and they downed over 1500 gallons of chili. Red Robin came out on top last year, winning best overall chili.
But there are winners in 10 categories from hottest chili to best amateur chili.
All proceeds go to Impression 5 Science Center, Adopt a Aiver, The Hope Scholarship Fund, and the Sparrow Foundation.
Tickets are $12 at the gate today for adults. The event is happening rain or shine. It goes from 5:30-9.
