Senator Debbie Stabenow’s farm bill is getting another go-round and this time she's hoping for better luck in the house.
Last year the bi-partisan farm bill died in the house without even getting a vote.
Speaking in east Lansing today,, the senator told us she's hoping for a one-two punch next month in Washington--- the farm bill and then the passage of an immigration bill to get undocumented immigrants an easier way to get citizenship.
"By having a legal system, they can count on, that's fair for everybody, and then it really is about making sure that our economy works in Michigan."
Senate democrats plan to begin working on the immigration bill on June 10th.
They hope the bill includes enough border security measures to get republicans on board.
