Governor Rick Snyder:   "I think having this sweater out there is going to generate a lot more attention, and I hope they're ready for the demand they're going to get for more yarn equipment, more yarn, and actually to have more farmers participate in terms of the ability to take their wool and make products."

A northern Michigan couple is sharing their Olympic success with Governor Rick Snyder.

On Friday, Chuck and Debbie McDermott of Stonehedge Fiber Mill in East Jordan, Michigan, presented the Governor with his very own Team USA Closing Ceremony sweater. The presentation took place in the Governor's office at the Romney Building in downtown Lansing.

Ralph Lauren manufactured the garment with yarn made at the Mcdermott's family-owned mill in northern Michigan. Snyder said, "I think having this sweater out there is going to generate a lot more attention, and I hope they're ready for the demand they're going to get for more yarn equipment, more yarn, and actually to have more farmers participate in terms of the ability to take their wool and make products."

The sweater is one of just 200 made and costs $400. The McDermotts wanted the Governor to have one because they say he supports agriculture and manufacturing.
