Laura became a member of the News 10 weather team as the weekend meteorologist in April of 2012. Lansing was not a huge change for Laura; she grew up just west of the capitol city in Ionia, Michigan and is excited to work so close to home.

Before joining WILX, Laura interned at WOOD TV8 in Grand Rapids and 9&10 News in Northern Michigan. She also graduated with honors from Central Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology.

Laura's interest in weather began while growing up on a farm, where the day-to-day weather forecast
is vital information for farmers. Broadcasting meteorologists made a huge impact on Laura's family, so she decided to
pursue a career where she could make as big of an impact on other people's lives.
