Katie came to Lansing from Los Angeles in November 2009. She is a SoCal native through and through, but she is thrilled to experience all the Midwest has to offer.

Katie graduated magna cum laude from the University of Southern California's Annenberg School of Journalism in 2009, with a degree in broadcast journalism. She was a reporter, anchor and executive producer for USC's award-winning, student-run newscast, Annenberg TV News. There, she had the chance to cover the historic inauguration, election night and the devastating California fires of 2007.

She also had several internships at KNBC Los Angeles. She was nominated for an Emmy for her work as a segment producer.

When she's not working, Katie loves to spend time with family and friends, go to church, watch movies, travel, learn to cook and try new food. She is looking forward to telling your stories, so please feel free to e-mail her at katie.kim@wilx.com.
