Lauren anchors News 10 at 5, 6, and 11 on WILX.
Prior to working the evening shift, Lauren spent over two years helping mid-Michigan wake up as the anchor of News 10 Today. She was initially hired at WILX as its weekend anchor/reporter in 2008. During her time in mid-Michigan, Lauren has field anchored from the State Capitol during Michigan's historic Right to Work fight, investigated stolen guns in the community, and traveled to cover mid-Michigan's Olympic Gold Medalist Jordyn Wieber. She was named Best Reporter by the Michigan Association of Broadcasters for her work in 2013 and was nominated for an Emmy for her reporting that same year.
Lauren joined the WILX team after graduating magna cum laude from the University of Southern California with degrees in broadcast journalism and political science. While in Los Angeles, she interned for KNBC's Investigative Unit, where she helped expose dangerous levels of lead in the drinking water at Los Angeles public schools. Lauren also interned at Good Morning America and MTV in Los Angeles, and WJRT-TV in Flint. As an anchor and reporter at USC's television station, Annenberg TV News, Lauren covered the presidential debate between then-candidate Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, as well as the Phil Spector murder trial and Hollywood Writers Strike.
Lauren grew up in Birmingham, Michigan and couldn't be happier to call mid-Michigan home. She is a member of the Junior League of Lansing and is actively involved with the American Cancer Society, Junior Achievement and Community Partners in Health. In her spare time, Lauren enjoys volunteering, traveling, playing tennis and spending time with family and friends.
