Before coming to WILX, Lauren interned for KNBC's Investigative Unit, where she helped expose dangerous levels of lead in the drinking water at Los Angeles public schools. She also interned at Good Morning America and MTV in Los Angeles and, closer to home, at WJRT-TV in Flint.
Lauren graduated magna cum laude from the University of Southern California with degrees in broadcast journalism and political science. She anchored and reported for USC's award-winning newscast, Annenberg TV News, where she covered the Democratic Presidential Debate, the Phil Spector murder trial and the Hollywood Writers Strike.
Lauren grew up in Birmingham, Michigan and couldn't be happier to call mid-Michigan home. She is a member of the Junior League of Lansing and is actively involved with the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, and Community Partners in Health. Lauren enjoys volunteering, traveling, playing tennis and spending time with family and friends. Feel free to email her a story idea at lauren.evans@wilx.com, or follow her on twitter @LaurenEvans10.
