Jennifer Dowling grew up in the town of Onsted, MI which is nestled in the Irish Hills. To experience a different side of hill country, she moved to the Black Hills where she worked as the weekend anchor at KEVN-TV before taking the morning anchor position at WILX-TV. Jennifer is a graduate of Central Michigan University. She earned two degrees including a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism. While attending school she worked for News Central as an anchor/reporter. After college, she began her career as producer at WHO-TV in Des Moines, IA. After that she landed the anchor/reporter spot at Black Hills Fox. During her career, some of her most memorable reports included President Bush’s visit to Mount Rushmore, and coverage of the 2008 primaries. She also enjoyed working on a special report called “The Real CSI” in which she highlighted the work of a local forensics team. Jennifer earned an Investigative Enterprise award from the Associated Press for her report on a man who claimed to be a victim of Hurricane Katrina. When she’s not bringing you the latest from the WILX-TV News 10 Today anchor desk, Jennifer is enjoying the outdoors, traveling with friends or exploring Michigan's fantastic parks and recreation areas. She also has a talent for bass guitar and nature photography.
