Adela Uchida anchors News 10 at 6 and News 10 at 11 with David Andrews.

She came to WILX in 1998, from Colorado, where she'd been reporting at sister station KKTV. Adela attended high school and college in Colorado, majoring in broadcast journalism with an emphasis in political science.

Adela has interviewed everyone from rocker Alice Cooper to Governor Jennifer Granholm during her career. Some highlights include interviewing U2's Adam Clayton and flying with in an F-18 with the Navy's Blue Angels.

Adela counts running as one of her biggest passions, leading her to run her first marathon in October 2006 -- the Detroit Free Press Marathon. She completed it in 4 hours, 1 minute and 26 seconds, and ran it -- in runner-speak - in negative splits. You can find her at many local charity 5k races in the Lansing area. She also serves on the board of the greater Lansing chapter of Girls On The Run, an after-school program for third through fifth grade girls, promoting physical fitness and self esteem.
