ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) -- The Adidas logo is replacing the Nike swoosh on the University of Michigan's new football uniforms.
The new game-day jerseys formally were unveiled on Monday and go into action this fall. They retain the Wolverines' maize-and-blue color scheme.
Additions include an embroidered quote from the late coach Bo Schembechler, "Those who stay will be champions," along the inside hem.
Replica jerseys will go on sale Wednesday, and authentic jerseys will be available next month.
The university signed an eight-year contract with Adidas last year, ending a relationship with Nike. The contract includes uniforms, shoes and equipment for all of its 25 teams.
