DeWitt's bid for their 4th straight win over arch-rival Haslett was in jeopardy early in the 4th quarter when Haslett quarterback Ryan Jones found R.J. Kelly for a 69-yard touchdown. That gave Haslett a 10-nothing lead. Dewitt stayed the course as Dan VanDreumel threw a pass up for grabs and Jason Fleet scored from 28 yards out to cut the Viking lead to 3. With less than a minute to go DeWitt started to move the ball once again, but the Vikings D held tough on 3 plays inside the 5. DeWitt could have tried a game-tying field goal attempt but instead went for the win on 4th and goal from the 1. Dan VanDreumel lobbed a pass for J.T. Whitman who made the catch in the back of the end zone to give the panthers a 14-10 victory.

Haslett finishes their season with a 6-and-4 record, while Dewitt moves to 10-and-oh and will host East Lansing next week.
