Jordyn Wieber is in first place with the first day of U.S. Olympic Trials competition in the books.

The 16-year-old from DeWitt said she is happy with her performance overall, especially on the uneven bars.

Wieber said she wants to work on beam heading into Sunday, after what she called "a few missed connections" during her routine Friday.

Wieber said she received one of her highest scores ever on her floor routine Friday, a 15.400.

We'll have much more coming up tonight on News 10.
