The status of Detroit Tigers outfielder Delmon Young for Friday night's series opening game against the Yankees in New York is unclear. The 26-year old Young was arrested near Times Square at 4am and charged with a harrassment hate crime charge. He was jailed for a portion of the day after being hospitalized for what police believed was drunkenness. The Tigers have no comment. Young allegedly screamed anti semitic slurs at a small group and got into an altercation with one before he was arrested. He is hitting .242 and has a one year $6 million plus deal with the Tigers.
