Detroit General manager Ken Holland said he felt comfortable with the offers he made to forward Zach Parise and defenseman Ryan Suter but on Wednesday afternoon the two most sought after NHL free agents decided to team up and play with the Minnesota Wild.

The pair signed identical 13-year contracts worth $98 million dollars.

The Wings will now shift their focus to players like Shane Doan and Matt Carle.
