It's probably the biggest question facing the Detroit Tigers at spring training in Lakeland, Florida-- who will be the fifth starting pitcher entering the regular season?
Brad Penny is gone and the Tigers appear committed to filling the last rotation spot with someone from within the organization. Team president Dave Dombrowski says the top candidates at the moment are Jacob Turner, Drew Smyly, Andy Oliver, Casey Crosby, Duane Below and Adam Wilk. Turner is considered the Tigers' top prospect by Baseball America and he made three starts with the Tigers last season. He is a 20-year old right hander.
