Verlander Wins First of Season

Justin Verlander pitched a complete game Monday night leading the Detroit Tigers to a 3-2 win over the Royals in Kansas City. The game was the first in a three game series. Verlander won his first game of the season in his third start. Austin Jackson led off the game for the Tigers with a home run and Brandon Inge broke a 1-1 tie in the fifth inning with a two run homer. The Tigers lead their division with a 7-3 record while the Royals fell to 3-7. is happy to provide a forum for commenting and discussion. Please respect and abide by the house rules:
