Michigan State women's basketball head coach Suzy Merchant announced Friday that sophomore Kiana JOhnson and redshirt freshman Akyah Taylor will be suspended for the first nine games of the coming season. The two violated NCAA guidelines related to receipt of extra benefits. No further information was made available.
Merchant said in a statement that the two simplay made a bad decision during the summer. The two can play in the December 16th game against IPFW.
