Tressel Signs on With Akron

Jim Tressel resigns from an Ohio State
football program that he had guided to eight Bowl Championship Series games in 10 years.

Former Ohio State football coach Jim Tressel has accepted a newly created administrative job with Akron University where he once worked as a graduate assistant. Tressel, 60, will be paid $200,000 per year. He sold his home this week in Columbus. Tressel worked this past season as a consultant with the NFL's Indianapolis Colts. He interviewed twice but was not hired for the Colts' head coaching job.
