Posted: Thu 3:57 PM, May 17, 2012

The Detroit Tigers' struggles continued Thursday in a 4-3 loss to the Minnesota Twins at Comerica Park. Nearly 38,000 fans looked on-- Doug Fister was the losing pitcher, going 6 innings and is now 0-2. Justin Morneau's two run homer helped the Twins to a 4-0 lead, but the Tigers fought back with solo home runs from Brennan Boesch, Andy Dirks and Prince Fielder. The Tigers are now 18-20 and host the Pittsburgh Pirates to begin inter league play Friday night. The Twins leave town with a 12-26 record, sweeping the two games series after an 11-7 win Wednesday night.
