Posted: Thu 9:39 PM, Oct 18, 2012

The World Series opens in either St. Louis or San Francisco next Wednesday. The first two games are in the National League city. The Detroit Tigers will host games October 27-29, Saturday, Sunday and if necessary, Monday. Games six and seven if needed, back in the National League city, Oct. 31 and Nov. 1st.
The National League won the All Star game in Kansas City back in July to capture home field advantage in the Series and Detroit's Justin Verlander pitched the first inning and gave up five runs.
