The Detroit Tigers completed a 3-game sweep of the Toronto Blue Jays Thursday with an 11-inning 3-2 win at Comerica Park. The Tigers are now a game and a half behind the idle Chicago White Sox in the Central Division. Detroit has a 67-57 record with 38 games remaining and the Los Angeles Angels arriving at Comerica Park for a weekend series beginning Friday night.
Alex Avila singled in Quintin Berry with the winning run in the 11th inning. The Tigers scored 2 runs in the 8th inning to erase a 2-0 deficit.
