The Detroit Tigers Wednesday released veteran outfielder Brennan Boesch. The 27-year old hit .240 with 12 home runs in 132 games for the Tigers last season. But there is no place for him on the roster as spring training continues. The Tigers beat Florida Southern College Wednesday 11-0. Miguel Cabrera homered on the first pitch he received after returning to the Tigers from playing in the World Baseball Classic.
