Tigers Rained Out

Posted: Wed 10:02 PM, Oct 17, 2012

The Detroit Tigers and New York Yankees were rained out of their playoff game Wednesday night at Comerica Park. The game never began and the rain never fell-- but it was due to come into the area through the evening. The wait was one hour and ten minutes. Game 4 will now start at 4:07pm Thursday with Max Scherzer pitching for Detroit against the Yankees' C. C. Sabathia. Game five will be played Friday night in Detroit if it is necessary. The Tigers have a 3-0 lead and need one more victory to advance to the World Series against either St. Louis or San Francisco.
