Tigers Lose to Twins

The Minnesota Twins salvaged the final game of a three game series in Detroit Wednesday, downing the Tigers 6-2. The Tigers set an American League record by pitching their sixth straight game in which they recorded at least ten strikeouts. Anibal Sanchez, the starter and loser, recorded nine after getting 17 in his previous outing. The Tigers' five game winning streak ended leaving them with a 15-11 season record. They're off to Houston to face the Astros in a four game series beginning Thursday night.
