Tigers Lose to Astros

Jason Castro and Brett Wallace each homored for a Houston Astros split squad Tuesday in a 9-4 victory over the Detroit Tigers. The Tigers' spring training record falls to 2-3.
Wallace had three hits while teammates Castro and Rick Ankiel each had two hits. Duane Below gave up five runs to the Astros in the fifth inning. Brayan Pena's two run homer off John Ely gave the Tigers a 3-2 lead in the fourth inning. Doug Fister gave up the two run home run to Castro in his two inning star for Detroit. Bruce Rondon, the Tigers' hard throwing rookie who is a candidate to become the team's closer, walked two and struck out two before being taken out of the game in the third inning.
