Pablo Sandoval hit three home runs, en route to a four hit night, leading the San Francisco Giants to an 8-3 rout of the Detroit Tigers in game one of the World Series Wednesday night. Justin Verlander gave up two of the homers and Al Alburquerque the other. Jose Valverde gave up two runs in less than an inning of relief. Game two will be played at 8:07pm Michigan time Thursday before games 3-4 and if necessary 5 move back to Comerica Park in Detroit.
