Tigers Hope to Move Up This Week in Standings

The Detroit Tigers, idle Monday, begin a three game series at Kansas City Tuesday night. The Tigers are 7-1 vs. the Royals this season. They hope to have Miguel Cabrera back at third base Tuesday after he rested his sore ankle Sunday.
The Tigers are 2 1/2 games behind the Chicago White Sox in the Central Division. The Orioles and White Sox begin a four game series in Baltimore Monday night. The White Sox move on to Detroit to face the Tigers this weekend. The White Sox have currently won six in a row and have a 71-55 record. The Tigers have a 69-58 record with 35 games remaining.
