Tigers Cut Raburn

The Detroit Tigers Tuesday released veteran outfielder Ryan Raburn. Raburn is 31 and hit .171 in 66 games this last season. The Tigers also purchased the contracts of right hand pitchers Bruce Rondon and Melvin Mercedes and shortsotp Dixon Machadofrom Tripla A Toledo. Detroit sent right hand pitcher Tyler Stohr outright to Toledo.
