Tigers Crushed by Oakland

The Detroit Tigers dropped a 12-4 game at Comerica Park Thursday afternoon to the Oakland A's. It was the finale of the three game series in which the Tigers easily won the first two. Oakland trailed 2-0 but rallied and trailed 3-2 but rallied again and added six runs in the 9th inning to seal the deal. The Tigers fall to 79-70 and trail Chicago by 2 1/2 games in the Central Division pending the outcome of the White Sox game Thursday night at Kansas City. The Tigers host the Minnesota Twins for three games beginning Friday night and have 13 games remaining overall including 7 at home.
