Tigers Clinch Central Division Title Tie

The Detroit Tigers clinched a share of the Central Division title Tuesday night with a 4-2 win at Minnesota over the Twins. The Tigers scored all their runs in the 4th inning on three home runs-- by Victor Martinez, Omar Infante and Austin Jackson. At Cleveland, 42-year old Jason Giambi hit a two out two run homer in the bottom of the 9th inning giving the Indians a 5-4 win over Chicago, Cleveland's 13th straight win over the White Sox. It kept the Indians' faint division title hopes alive but the Indians are still in the thick of the wild card race. The Tigers can clinch the title with a win at Minnesota Wednesday night. Thursday is an off day and the regular season ends with three games in Miami on the weekend.
