Tigers Begin Final Homestand

The Detroit Tigers begin their final 10-game homestand Tuesday night against the Oakland A's with Justin Verlander pitching for Detroit. The Tigers trail Chicago by three games in the Central Division. The White Sox open a series in Kansas City with their ace, Chris Sale, pitching for Chicago. Both contenders have 16 games remaining.
The Tigers are home from a 4-6 road trip. After hosting Oakland, Minnesota and Kansas City, they finish with six games at Minnesota and Kansas City. Chicago has seven games home and nine away and the White Sox have a crucial series in Anaheim this coming weekend.
