Rick Porcello pitched into the ninth inning of yesterday's game against the Chicago White Sox.
The Sox struck first in a game with spectacular defensive plays. In the top of the fifth, Dayan Viciedo hit an RBI single, driving in Alex Rios.
The Tigers responded immediately when Austin Jackson doubled to deep center field, scoring two. The next inning, Brennan Boesch homered to right-center for his tenth on the year, driving in three more.
Tigers would eventually win 7-1, Porcello got his seventh victory.
