Justin Verlander overcame a two-run homer by Alejandro De Aza in the 3rd inning Friday night and pitched the Detroit Tigers to a 4-2 win over the Chicago White Sox at Comerica Park. The Tigers are now 50-44 on the season with 11 wins in their last 13 games and trail the White Sox by 1/2 game in the Central Division standings. The Tigers took the lead in the bottom of the third inning on RBI hits from Miguel Cabera and Delmon Young.
