Tigers Beat Mariners

Victor Martinez drove in the tie breaking run in the 8th inning leading the Detroit Tigers to a 5-4 win Thursday afternoon over the Seattle Mariners at Comerica Park. The Tigers now have a magic number of four to clinch the American League's Central Division title. Doug Fister was the winning pitcher and is now 13-9. Prince Fielder had three key hits on the day. The Tigers have three fiinal home games against the Chicago White Sox beginning Friday night. The Tigers won three out of four in the series. Shortstop Jose Iglesias left the game after being hit in the wrist in the sixth inning but he is listed as day to day.
