Tigers Beat Kansas City

Prince Fielder hit a two run homer his first in three weeks, leading the Detroit Tigers to a 4-1 victory Thursday night over the Kansas City Royals at Comerica Park. Andy Dirks went four for four with two doubles and Anibal Sanchez gave up a run and seven hits in 7 1/3 innings to improve his record to 11-7. The Royals have lost three in a row and the Tigers have won two straight and the teams play a day/night doubleheader Friday.
