Tigers Beat Kansas City

Justin Verlander, in his final home start, pitched the Detroit Tigerse to a 6-2 win over the Kansas City Royals Monday night at Comerica Park. It's the first of a four game series, the final home games of the regular season. The Tigers close with three at Minnesota and three more at Kansas City. The Tigers are now 81-72. Prince Fielder hit his 28th home run. Alex Gordon homered off Verlander. Miguel Cabrera added a base hit.
