Scherzer gave up a saccrifice fly in the first inning then retired 22 straight batters before Jose Valverde retired the Indians in the 9th. The Tigers are now 24-19 and a game and a half behind the Indians whose six game win streak ended. The teams complete the series Wednesday night before the Tigers face Minnesota at Comerica Park this weekend.
