The NFL Wednesday fined Detroit Lions defensive lineman Ndamukong Suh $30,000 for his leg whip of Houston Texans quarterback Matt Schaub last Thursday. It was the fifth fine in Suh's pro career. He told reporters after practice he did not intentionally injure Schaub and so he felt no need to apologize later.
The Lions also had receiver Titus Young back at practice in Allen Park for the first time since he was suspended last week. Coach Jim Schwartz said he was satisfied with Young's behavior during drills but does not yet know whether he'll play in Sunday's home game against the Indianapolis Colts.
