St. Johns High School has promoted assistant Denny Baratono to boys varsity head basketball coach. Baratono has been an aide to previous head coach Caleb Miller for the past four seasons. Baratono is now retired from teaching and resides in St. Johns. Miller stepped down as head coach this last Monday. Practice for boys teams across Michigan begins on Monday.
