Updated: Fri 6:29 PM, Mar 23, 2012

Michigan State shot just 28.6 per cent from the field and made 14 field goals for the entire game in a 57-44 loss to 4th seeded Louisville Thursday night in the Sweet 16 game of the NCAA tournament in Phoenix. The Spartansx trailed 23-18 at halftime and never gained the lead in the second half. Draymond Green finished his MSU career with 13 points and 16 rebounds, but he was the only Spartans who didn't struggle during the evening. MSU finishes with a 29-8 record. Louisville goes on to meet the Marquette vs. Florida winner in the Elite Eight game Saturday.
