Minnesota may have seen its NCAA tournament hopes slip away after losing 66-61 to Michigan State Wednesday night in Minneapolis. The Gophers could not protect a 58-52 lead in the final minutes-- MSU went on a 14-3 run to end the game with Minnesota turning the ball over and missing key shots. Minnesota outrebounded the Spartans 31-21-- and MSU is the nation's leading rebounding team. MSU maintainis its one game lead in the Big Ten standings at 12-3 while Michigan and Ohio State are both 11-4... all with three games remaining. Draymond Green had 17 points to lead the Spartans while Brandon Wood and Keith Appling each had 13. MSU is now 23-5 overall and hosts Nebraska at 8pm Saturday.
