Michigan State's baseball team beat Toledo 7-2 Wednesday at McLane Stadium to improve its season record to 31-16. MSU catcher Joel Fisher had three hits and drove in three runs. The Spartans have 7 games remaining in their regular season, with a Big Ten home series against Iowa next up-- Friday, Saturday and Sunday. MSU also plays Central Michigan at Comerica Park in Detroit next Tuesday, then ends with three more Big Ten home games against Penn State a week from Thursday through Saturday. MSU is 10-8 in Big Ten play. Mick Van Vossen pitched 7 2/3 innings against Toledo to record the victory.
