Adreian Payne scored a career high 41 points Thursday, leading Michigan State to a 93-78 win over Delaware in the Spartans' first game of the NCAA tournament. It's the most points scored by an MSU player since Shawn Respert in 1994. Payne made all 17 aof his free throw attempts. MSU led 44-33 at halftime before Delaware went on a 6-0 run to begin the second half but MSU pulled away from there. MSU now has a four game winning streak and is 27-8 on the season. The Spartans face Harvard in the round of 32 on Saturday. Harvard beat Cincinnati 61-57.
